Danilo Gallinari: The King's New Jester

The dude is already funny looking. And after watching this video you’ll probably understand that he is a funny guy as well. Can you just imagine the pre-game handshake that LeBron and he would have. Pounds…daps…double-pounds…spins…salutes…you name it; it would be included. In fact, this should be a selling point when James comes to New … Continue reading

The Boston Celtics v. Mole-People Referee Masseuses

Bah. This laziness must be overcome. It’s not like there isn’t anything to write about. For one thing, the Celtics pulled off a 4-2 series win over the Magic. The win is impressive if you were actually nervous the Magic stood a chance to catch up. All the same, Boston did have reason to be anxious. While difficult to pull off, these against the wall rallies have happened, once by Boston (the Sox-Yanks 2004 playoffs, which led to the biggest choke in baseball history) and another to Boston (the Bruins being the Bruins).

One owns the [coming soon: Brooklyn] Nets, one owns the hearts of all New Yorkers. Who is to own the heart and soul of Brooklyn, come 2012??? The Committee for Who Wins returns for a special encore appearance this week to adjudicate the case of Mikhail Prokhorov vs. Jay-Z! Let’s get ready to rumble. Round … Continue reading

The One vs. The Many

Last night Kobe Bryant had an amazing game, with 38 points and 10 assists. So maybe that last sentence was a bit of an understatement. Either way, he was brilliant, but that didn’t stop the Suns from winning. How did Phoenix manage? One word (with a hyphen): back-ups. The Suns’ bench outscored the Lakers’ bench … Continue reading

Wilson Chandler: Exhibit A as to Why LeBron Should Come to NY

Forgive the simplicity of this article. I am writing from my smartphone. Droid actually does. On to my thesis: Wilson Chandler will make an excellent P.I.C. for LeBron James. At 6’8″ with superb athleticism (just ask Josh Smith who had his game-winning dunk attempt denied by the Knicks’ small forward), Chandler, when assertive, is an … Continue reading

LeBron Makes Ransom Demand: Mike Brown's Job

Last night the Cleveland Cavaliers fired coach Mike Brown. While it’s true that the Cavs were embarrassed by the Celtics, losing by 50 points in the last two games of the series, and that Brown has never led the team to an NBA title, Cleveland has been to the play-offs every year during the course … Continue reading

It Is Almost Upon Us

Long before the clock hit zero and the fat lady began singing on the Cleveland Cavaliers season, the talk around the NBA was no longer the rest of this year, but the future of a few select superstars. In fact, the talk began before the fat lady began tuning her voice, before she arrived at … Continue reading

LeBron James vs. Bruce Wayne: 'The Committee for Who Wins' Returns

Dramatic Preamble: in honor of LeBron’s inglorious meltdown in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Division Semifinals, we at The Committee for Who Wins thought we’d honor him right back with an inglorious meltdown of our own in this Friday’s edition of TCFWW… Round One: Bruce Wayne’s alter ego is the “Bat-man”. LeBron’s is “Puppet … Continue reading

Massachusetts star has sextuple double, Who did what ?

I know I was thinking who did what now, and hopefully it was consensual. I was gravely mistaken. A 16-year-old junior at Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts has recorded the first known sextuple double. A stat line that would make Lebron drool. If thats possible. Colin Cook had 28 points, 21 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 … Continue reading
