Speed score is a measure of a baseball player’s speed based on five distinct factors:

1.) Stolen base percentage
2.) Stolen base percentage based on the number of opportunities
3.) Triples
4.) Double plays grounded into as a percentage of opportunities
5.) Runs scored as a percentage of times on base

Really, what ever happened to stop watches?
