Performer We'd Most Wish Injury Upon 2009, The Mets, Pau Gasol, Jake Cutler

And this year’s Performer We’d Most Wish Injury Upon Award goes to…..(drum roll)…..Skip Bayless of ESPN. First Take regular Skip Bayless take the stairs please, and whoever is behind him(no pun intended), give him a nice shove.(again, no pun intended) Has there ever been a host you wished a torn achilles upon more than Skip Bayless. For a host more absorbed in fashion sense than actual sports, and with the opinion no one cares to hear.

Us here at Voices would like to present you with this Award and wish you the worst so that we can get the best. By the best we mean a competent sports reporter, unlikely at ESPN, but anything other than you Skip is an upgrade. To take a quote from the great film Billy Madison,

Skip Bayless, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

And that about sums up why we wish you a prolonged absence. So take this award home and add it to your fireplace mantle next to framed headshots of yourself.

–A perennial contender for this award and the taker of the two spot, The New York Mets. Johan Santana, Jose Reyes, David Wright and John Maine all were injured at some point, but I’m starting to feel sorry for these guys.

–Jay Cutler couldn’t win this contest or any other one that relied on him. Jay you’ll be back, cry babies like you always are.

–Tim McCarver who announces baseball games without actually saying anything pertaining to the game he is announcing. Good Job Tim, somehow you got Fox thinking you help their ratings.
